What Did TTX Stand for? A Question I get A LOT.
It's funny. I always get asked this question multiple times, and I never really get around to answering it, so I think it would be best to put it all into one topic so everyone knows the answer.
What does TTX stand for?
I heard a lot of rumors saying it stood for,
The Technology eXtreme Network? No.
No. Just no.
The truth is, it doesn't stand for anything. If you were to google TTX, would find a train company that has the name "TTX Company." That's where it stemmed from.
I was about nine years old, and living in Arkansas, there's a big, huge, railroad system. I lived in a house where there always a train passing by. I looked out the window every day and saw the letters, "TTX". I thought the letters looked neat together and so it stuck with me. About two years later when the idea for a network was brought up with me and a couple of friends (Connor, Ray, and James), I brought TTX back up to the surface, they agreed and well....
The rest was history, and that was my story.

Wowo! I never even knew, and I never would've guessed the railroad company.
