Track and Field times?

Post by Jessica on Sun Apr 17, 2016 4:28 pm

Out of curiosity, if any of you guys run track, what is your event and what are your times?
I run the 800 meters, and the 1600 meters(mile)
800: 2:28
1600: 5:25

Not the best out there but hey, lets hear yours!

I never understood, what's the difference between a 1600 and a mile?

While there is a slight difference (like .02 meters) they are the same running event just a different name.
I run the 400-meter dash up.
400m - 51.6
800m - 2:02
Mile - 4:41
2 Mile - 10:44
5K - 17:02

Im okay you could say.

I had a friend that convinced me to run track back in middle school. We both ended up running the 800 meters. He won the middle school state meet with a 2:03 and I was right behind him with a 2:05, after freshman year though I quit. He's running like 1:55 now.

I tried the two mile once, and ran 10:11, but I didn't like it.

Get the fuck out, a 1:58 on your third try? Why did you quit?

I ran the 100 meters and the 200 meters back in my freshman and sophomore years. Now as a senior I look back with regret as I should have kept going.

I had a friend come out for track. out of jealousy I quit.
We both ran the 400m and the 800m.
I ran 56 and 2:09
and then within two races he ran 52 and 2:00
I hate track.

I ran track one year. worst experience ever.
One of the team members was extremely good and I believe he got a scholarship.
He ran the 200 meters in 21 seconds,
the 400 in 49 seconds
and he ran the 800 meters in 1:53 or something like that...

My parents both ran track, so it was a push on me.
I only ran the mile and the two-mile.
I ran it for two seasons and then went to cross country permanently.
Freshman: 4:38, 10:10, 16:57
Sophomore: 4:29, 9:44, 16:16
Junior: 15:59
Senior: 15:42

When did everyone on here start running track?
My brother threw discus, if that adds to the topic though.

That's insane. There's people I know that run track and can NEVER get that fast.
As for me, running's a no-no.

My state is big in cross country, but I'm not one for it.
People run 15 minute 5ks regularly.

Freshman Year:
800m - 2:01.2
1600m - 4:39.9
3200m - 10:00.2

Sophomore Year:
800m - 1:56.6
1600m - 4:23.5
3200m - 9:48.0

Junior Year:
800m - 1:54.8
1600m - 4:19.9
3200m - 9:28.4

Senior Year:
800m - 1:55.9 (For some reason couldn't hit 54 again.)
1600m - 4:15.2
3200m - 9:20.0

Scholarship to UConn, which is partly why I'm barely on here anymore.

You're hostile. Your Novascore is subpar. Step your game before you try to tackle someone else.
